I have a bad news.
The Aloha Loyang Chalet is fully booked.
For the whole June holidays period.
The only 1 left is 28-30th May.
But then many of us cannot go.
I have checked Aloha Changi.
Similarly, it is 95% booked,

Plus, many people don't want to go to a place "full of fairytales".

Costa Sands and Downtown East is kind of small,
for a class gathering of 25 of us.

Chalet: The First Day
Mr Ong was late for the chalet.
Not my fault.
He has got something to do.
By the time he reached my house, it was already 1530 hr.
Another, 45min drive means...
1615hr.
I hope that the xbox306 and mahjong really entertain you guys.
5 more people know how to play mahjong now.
and the halo3...
No one has completed the campaign yet.
Half of it was led by my brother.

Chalet: The Second Day
After playing mahjong for the whole day, we went cycling.
Tampines Park is big.
We never cycle to the end.
Turned back after cycling into the middle of the park.
Then i went to pick shuyee and adeline up.
THEY ALIGHTED AT THE WRONG BUS STOP!
LUCKILY, i took the pasir ris connection and reached the east end of downtown east.
AND i saw them...
If not, i would have make an extra u-turn back to the bus stop.
After bringing them to the chalet, we returned the bicycles.
In the evening, we had the BBQ.
The BBQ was very well-planned and detailed.
Thanks to Aiksong and Steven,
and the many people who were helping to cook.
I did not do much, however...
Like last year, i was the guy sitting down there and waiting to be served. ><
Mr Ong came late around 9pm, i think...
cause we were playing basketball.
we played 6v1!
george vs the 6 of us.
k&e, me, z.x., bp, and wj
george was thrashed!
and i did dunk and chin up!
stunt!
PLEASE DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME or anywhere else...
we had fun after all.
then cheng hwee and his parents came.
then talk for around 2hr.
and we ended with a goodbye hug/handshake/kiss.

Chalet: The Third Day
Everybody was tired.
Kevin was the "pro-est"
He never slept for at least 35 hours.

and he still have the mood to watch tv shows.
omg...
then weijie came to me and complain.
GARY SWITCHED ON THE ROOM'S LIGHTS AND TOOK AWAY HIS BED...
MAKING HIM SLEEP ON THE FLOOR!
he was so fed up.
and i couldn't do anything.
in the end, we slept on the sofa.
Morning came after everyone took a 2-3 hours nap.
and it was 3 hours before checking out
I quickly told everyone to get ready and move out 15min before the first shuttle bus arrived at 0855hr.
but then... weicheng was sick and he was in the toilet.
oh man..
we didn't miss the bus, but the bus can only hold 23 passengers
still need to walk out in the end...

Conclusion
I hope everyone enjoyed the chalet.For me, this is certainly a good one.Almost everyone turned up for the BBQ.I think around 5,6 people never came.I was kind of disappointed though.

More of it next year? YES
but we need more cars.

here is the shuttle bus timetable.

the shuttle bus comes every hour.
as we will get the key at around 3pm,
the best time for it is 1415 and 1515hr shuttle bus.
it is either you get to have a 30min fun ahead of the rest or an hour later than those who arrive earlier.
check out the first column if you are coming on the second day.
and don't forget to check for the last departing shuttle bus from aloha loyang to pasir ris.
the area is kind of spooky at night and it will take a long walk to just reach the downtown east resort.
OR... you can take mr ong's free ride!

Prologue

Alas! I have had a mental constipation for so long. I finally have some inspiration to write. I would like to discuss certain issues, and also perhaps to jumpstart the rest of the class into blogging again. After all, I really do miss the days where the blog was updated daily with things other then homework.

Dropping Subjects

This has been quite a controversial issue, and I have spoken against it vehemently. However, after careful consideration, I think it is reasonable to do so, but only under certain circumstances.

Despite my slight change of heart, I still do not think dropping to combined science is a good idea. In secondary 2, was it not us who chose to come into a triple science class? It would be quite a sad thing to give up what we once fought so hard for. Moreover, it shows a lack of confidence in one’s choices. Making things worse, it is already a more than a year since we started this course! It would be more meaningful to drop at the beginning, not a step away from the end.

Moreover, we are only taking a mere 8 subjects. This is not many. It is the norm to take at least 9 subjects in the better schools. If we were to drop a subject, then we would be placed at a further disadvantage. On the other hand, if we took 9 subjects in the first place, dropping one would not be as significant a drawback. Consequently, it makes sense to drop a subject when one already has sufficient subjects. Although some may point out that we only need 6 subjects for our L1R5 and that 7 is already more than enough; I would like to state that all of us have more than enough capability to do the current 8, and that it is always safer, not to mention more glamorous, to take a little more subjects.

I also object dropping to combined science. A combined subject is about one and a half times the workload of a pure subject. This is not worth it, from a value-for-time perspective. One has to study one and a half times more content than if he were to take a pure subject! Surely it would be better to drop the weaker of the two (or three).

Nonetheless, I still strongly advocate putting in effort and trying to perfect the subjects we chose earlier. With proper time management and determination, I am sure this will not pose too much a problem to people like us.

Ending off, if science does not suit a certain individual, he should not take three of it in the first place, at any rate. I, for one, will definitely not choose to go into a triple Chinese class!

Past-year papers

Recently, we have been tons of past-year examination papers (well, I think I’m stating the obvious. Oh well). I must say that I am quite pleased with it (no, I’m not kidding).

I believe that practice is very important. Although we have already learnt all the concepts, there still exists a considerable problem to surmount; namely, the application of the techniques that we have learnt. Through practicing a wide range of papers, this ability should come naturally.

I was consequently very delighted by last Friday’s chemistry test. Admittedly, I found it most challenging. This challenge was very pleasant; it gave me a profound sense of satisfaction after finishing the paper. More importantly, I learnt much after doing it. Of course, there is still more to be gleaned from that paper, and that is done through going through the answers it class. Oh, need I mention that I am anxiously anticipating the Raffles paper Ms Chiang said she would be giving us?

Speaking of going through papers, I found the recent lesson where we went through the multiple choice worksheet on logic gates especially fruitful. Also, I find that I am getting more and more accustomed to biology practical; this is heartening indeed. I look forward to undergoing such wonderful lessons in the coming days. Although I have only mentioned science lessons here, I am not asserting that the rest of the subjects are not good. I simply do not wish to comment on all of them and make this essay overlong and dreary.

Epilogue

The prelims and O levels are right before our eyes. All of us, teachers and students alike, have the same common goal: for the class to do exceptionally well. Now let us work together and make this vision a reality.

Hey guys, for English, I'm not sure if we are to compile the whole Paper 1 Section 1 of O lvl from year 2001-2005 or 2002-2006. I couldn't find the 2006 Paper 1 Section 1 in my file [only found the section 2], so I went to Popular to check the topics.

Hi everyone!

Chill out to some revolutionary new sounds! Here's some upfront collections that i would like to share with you guys. This time round, I'll post some house music on the blog.

Today, I'll be introducing Dirty South, an Australian Electro House artist. From my perspective, there's not any of his track that I don't like at all!

Artist: Dirty South
Real Name: Dragan Roganovic

Profile: The filthy curb-crawling new wave disco of Dirty South is a result of debauched years behind the decks and a lot of time spent at home creating his own musical fun. His Sleazy debut is the perfect introduction to the Dirty South school of naughty thought – a passionate electronik glam revenge on sadistic ghosts of past affairs.
Dirty South caught the technically transmitted disease of DJing long before he even owned his first set of turntables. With the DJ bug in his blood, a young lad could be found teaching himself mixing skills on his NEC tape deck, utilising nothing more than its twin cassette players, a pause button and nimble fingers to recreate the sounds of club DJing in the safety of his own bedroom. By the time he got his first decks at the start of the millennium he’d already honed the techniques ready to take on the world of his heroes such as Eric Morillo and Felix Da Housecat.
At the same time he was mastering the concept of DJing, South was also readying himself for a future in studio knob-twiddling. Spurred on by the megamixes that filtered through the radio waves into his disco den, the devious young man hotwired the family computer (once the domain of innocent school projects) with illicit music software smuggled to him by sympathetic allies. Soon he was jacking out his own remixes and edits of sordid club anthems and nasty chart hits. Wallowing in the grime of his secret life, South soon slid into the murky world of mash-ups and bootlegs. It was only a matter of time before his treachery became notorious around the global underworld – his tracks seeping out of the local club cesspit and infecting the airwaves from the Australian Nova network to Pete Tong’s Radio 1 playlists in the UK.
It was only natural that Dirty South was embraced by the twisted, like-minded crew at Vicious who fuelled his perverted past time with remix duties for Mr. Timothy, Sgt Slick and the year’s most decadent 2005 anthem in Australia, Midas Touch by Midnight Star.
Enter Sleazy. The throbbing electrock snarl reflects his lust for all things clubby as well as his unnatural affinity for the dirty denim guitar sounds of Led Zepplin and post-punk posturing of Franz Ferdinand (check the angular strings of the Anthem Mix for further proof). Top it off with a payback house reworking from Mr. Timothy and you’ll be hard pushed to find anything sleazier this side of a late night gutter crawl.

there is no homework today guys.
unless you have yet to complete your chinese essay, but that can be done tomorrow during our mother tongue lesson.
you can choose to finish it at home or at school, as long as you hand in both your essays to miss chin by tomorrow.
therefore, there is no homework except for the fact that we have two tests tomorrow which is english situational writing and chinese [multiple choice.]
